History of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Pancasila

The Psychology Study Program of Pancasila University has been held since 2006. The establishment of this faculty was initiated by Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, SH., M.Si as Chancellor of Pancasila University at that time, Dr. Silverius Y. Soeharso, SE., MM., Psi who later became the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UP and Prof.Dr. Sarlito W. Sarwono as professor of Psychology. The establishment of the Psychology Study Program is a response to the community's need for quality services for the psychology profession with national and international standards in strengthening its role in the industrial, government, community, and education sectors in Indonesia.

The psychology faculty of Pancasila University is a psychology faculty in Indonesia that has developed a business psychology curriculum since 2012, the curriculum integrates a number of scientific fields, including industrial and organizational psychology, business, economics and management. Students are not educated to understand human nature, but are provided with a variety of knowledge about the business processes of an organization. The Faculty of Psychology, University of Pancasila was established on June 7, 2006 with an Operational Permit Decree no 1884/D/T/2006 dated June 7, 2006 and is under the auspices of the Pancasila University Education Foundation.

Currently, the Faculty of Psychology has one undergraduate study program (S1). The accreditation status of the Faculty of Psychology is Accredited “A” in accordance with the Decree of BAN PT Number 4616/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/XI/2019 which is valid until November 20, 2024. Currently, it has the support of 16 permanent lecturers with S2 and S3 degrees as well as 15 education staff with a total of 497 students in the 2018/2019 Even Semester.

In realizing an effective and efficient educational institution, management and the academic community at the Faculty of Psychology, UP implement Good Faculty Governance. In simple terms, it can be interpreted as a spirit of clean, healthy, transparent, accountable, responsible, independent, honest and fair faculty management in an effort to create academic excellence and organizational performance that grows and develops sustainably. Continuous performance growth is very important in improving the quality of academic and non-academic which leads to the quality of graduates from the Faculty of Psychology. In an effort to achieve this, academic policies and Strategic Plans are established that take into account the needs of stakeholders.
